• Weekly service ends October 31st, followed by a Final Cut with your fall clean-up, standard for all clients. 

• Grass clippings are left on the lawn as natural mulch and benefit the grass, helping retain moisture, return nutrients to the soil, and support healthy growth.

• Weekly service during the growing season prevents excessive clumping.

• For the best results, weekly service during the growing season is strongly recommended. Skipping weeks can lead to clumping, uneven cutting, and a less attractive lawn. Green Carpet Lawns LLC cannot extend extra time or service to compensate for skipped weeks; maintaining a consistent schedule ensures a healthy, well-manicured lawn.

• Excessive growth from skipped weeks or unusually rapid growth may require additional mowing time and can be billed as a double cut.

• Alternating weekly services may result in uneven cutting; weekly service is recommended for optimal results.​​

• Rain Schedule: We always strive to stay on schedule unless there are extreme weather conditions; services continue in light rain, but heavy rain may pause mowing until conditions are safe and the ground is firm/dry, and clients may request a pause prior to arrival via phone call or text.

 

 

Lawn Installation/Aeration/Plantings

• The key to a new lawn is water. Make sure to water your lawn every night around sunset or early in the morning. You do not want to water during the hottest point of the day, as this makes the water mostly evaporate. It is the customers responsibility to water it. We recommend a sprinkler.

Snowplowing & Ice Management

Service Standards

Commercial Standard

• Commercial Standard:

• Snowplowing at 2.0” accumulation, at the contractor’s discretion or as requested.

• Ice treatment and snow plowing may be performed at the contractor’s discretion when snow has accumulated to 1 inch or less, when it is plowable, or when it is expected to freeze and create a hazard, even if less than 2 inches. Conditions may include temperatures at or below 32°F or colder-than-normal forecasts. Contract terms control all services.

• Safety is the top priority; snow and ice must be treated promptly to prevent hazardous conditions, liability, and damage to driveways and walkways.

Residential Standard

• Snowplowing is performed at 3.0 inches of accumulation, following the same discretion and safety considerations.

• Ice treatment is optional for residential properties and provided only if requested.

Snowplowing Service Participation Policy​

Seasonal Participation Requirement

 

Green Carpet Lawns LLC provides snowplowing services on a seasonal, consistent-service basis.

Snowplowing is not offered as a one-time, intermittent, or on-call service.

Once enrolled, clients are expected to remain active for the duration of the winter season and receive service in accordance with established service standards. Requests to selectively skip storms, pause service mid-season, or receive service only during certain events cannot be accommodated. 

Clients seeking per-storm or selective snowplowing arrangements should engage a provider that offers that service model.

This policy is necessary to:

• Maintain safe and efficient operations

• Protect vehicles and equipment from unnecessary damage

• Ensure reliable routing and response times

• Provide consistent service to all contracted clients

Billing & Measurement:

​

• Snowplowing invoices are calculated based on total snowfall accumulation, not the number of site visits or the timing of each pass. Accumulation is measured by the amount of snow that reaches the ground and must be removed using equipment.

• During active or severe storms, snowfall may accumulate faster than we can physically return to each property. While arrival timing may vary due to weather intensity, road conditions, and safety considerations, Green Carpet Lawns LLC remains responsible for clearing the full accumulation of snow present at the property.

• Accordingly, billing reflects the total volume of snow and ice managed, regardless of how quickly the snowfall occurred or how many passes were required. This approach ensures consistent, fair pricing and allows us to operate safely while maintaining equipment, staffing, and service reliability throughout the winter season.

Camera / On-Site Observation Verification ​

​

• On-site observation or remote monitoring may provide helpful reference; however, environmental conditions, timing, service methods, equipment movement, and operational sequencing may not be fully captured at all times. Accordingly, claims disputing completed work based solely on camera footage or observation limitations will not affect invoicing or payment obligations. All services are performed at the discretion of the contractor. In the event of any conflict or inconsistency, the terms of the executed service agreement shall govern.

Property Marking & Liability​

​

• For residential properties, owners are responsible for clearly marking driveways, curbs, edges, and obstacles with reflective stakes prior to the start of the season. Green Carpet Lawns LLC cannot be held responsible for damage to unmarked areas obscured by snow or ice.

• For commercial properties, Green Carpet Lawns LLC marks the property as part of service preparation; however, any unmarked hazards or obstacles introduced after marking are the responsibility of the property owner.
